A Nanny Match Jobs

An active, fun, and tight-knit family in Palisades, NY, is seeking a full-time Nanny for their children, ages 5 years old (b) and 7 years old (b).

The schedule is approximately 6:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 6:30-9:30 am on Fridays. 

Some flexibility is needed. Both parents work full-time, commute to the city, and there is some occasional travel for work. The position can be live-in or live-out. There is a private bedroom and bathroom for a live-in nanny.

The ideal candidate will love working with children and will be fun, loving, easygoing, warm, honest, collaborative, organized, reliable, trustworthy, safety-conscious, can bring a sense of calm, and has great communication and social skills. Someone who can be firm but kind if needed, will help instill kindness and manners and be knowledgeable about children’s healthy growth and development. A great sense of humor is a major plus as it will complement the family’s personalities. 

The family is seeking a nanny who will work well as a team with them, loves working with children, and will be with them for many years to come! 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Wake the children, give them breakfast, and prepare them for school.

• School drop off and pick up. (driving)

• Meal preparation for later in the day.

• Errands while children are in school.

• Help the household run smoothly. 

• Engage with the children in play and conversation.

• Engaging the children with age-appropriate activities.

• Maintain the children’s schedules. 

• Occasional Dr. visits and other appointments.

• Keeping the children’s rooms and the main spaces in the home clean and tidy. 

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant nanny experience.

• 2-3 relevant and valid references.

• Clean background check.

• Drives and has a clean driving record. 

• Flu shot

• Not allergic or afraid of dogs - the family has dogs for which the nanny isn’t responsible.

• Able to swim 

Salary: + / - $30.00-35.00 gross hourly.

A higher salary will be offered for candidates interested in Family Assistant responsibilities while children are in school.

Benefits: 10 days of paid vacation, major holidays, and 5 sick days per year.
