FT Nanny Needed in Brooklyn, NY

A fun and loving family in Brooklyn seeks an experienced and engaging nanny for their children, ages 2 years old and 3 months old. 

This general schedule is Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, with some flexibility needed. 

Summers are spent in Colorado, and there are several weeks of travel throughout the year. 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Engaging and stimulating the children with fun and age-appropriate activities.

  • Diaper changes.

  • Bottle feedings and sterilization of equipment.

  • Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (walking, eating solids, sleep/potty training, learning to read) 

  • Meal preparation.

  • Helping to maintain the children’s nap and eating schedules. 

  • Children's laundry. 

  • Restocking child-related items and keeping the diaper bag clean and organized. 

  • Walks, reading, indoor and outdoor play. 

  • Grocery shopping when needed.

  • Helping the household run smoothly.

  • Keeping the main spaces of the home/s and the children’s room clean and tidy.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant FT nanny experience with infants and multiples and will be warm, kind, playful, engaging, proactive, honest, organized, safety conscious, patient, calm under pressure, knowledgeable about child development, enthusiastic about nurturing the children’s interests and have excellent communication skills and excellent references.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant nanny experience.

  • 2+ years of infant care expereince. 

  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S. 

  • Clean background check.

  • Able to commit to at least a year. 

  • 2-3 valid references. 

  • Covid vaccinated.

Pluses

  • Ability to travel internationally.

 

Salary: + / - (above or below based on experience and credentials) approximately $30.00 an hour. 

Benefits: Two weeks of paid vacation, paid major holidays, 5 sick days per year, and a monthly metro card reimbursement.
