Warm and welcoming parents in Park Slope, Brooklyn, seek an experienced full-time nanny for their first child, currently 3 months old. The ideal start date is March 25th, 2024. 

The schedule is Monday through Friday from 9am - 6pm. 

Both parents work FT, hybrid schedules from the office and home. Some flexibility is needed to accommodate an occasional late evening. 

The right candidate will be patient, loving, kind, creative, engaging, organized, reliable, punctual, and will have excellent, open communication skills. The parents are seeking a nanny who will be a team player and will collaborate with them in maintaining a safe, loving, and respectful experience and environment for the child. 

It's important to note that there are stairs in the home, requiring the child to be carried up and down, especially considering he's a rapidly growing boy!

They also have a friendly hypoallergenic mini Goldendoodle that the nanny will not be responsible for but should feel comfortable around.  

 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Engaging the child in age-appropriate activities.

  • Wash/sterilize bottles, bottle feedings, tummy time, diaper changes

  • Supporting and maintaining healthy hygiene.

  • Healthy Meal preparation.

  • Maintaining the child’s schedules (e.g., meals, naps, bedtime) 

  • Taking the child on walks and reading to the child.

  • Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones, both cognitively and physically. 

  • Dressing the child.

  • Child’s laundry.

  • Restocking the diaper bag and child-related items.

  • Picking up after the child, after meals, and his toys. 

  • Keeping the child’s room and main spaces clean and tidy.

  • Fostering kindness, nurturing curiosity, and encouraging exploration. 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a professional nanny.

  • 2+ years of experience with infants. 

  • Attentive and safety-conscious.

  • Vaccinated.

  • Great communication skills.

  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

  • 2-3 Valid references. 

  • Flexibility in the schedule.

  • Comfortable around a cute, cuddly dog. 

  • Local to the area.

 

Hourly rate is approximately $30.00 - 35.00 gross an hour. 

Benefits: 10 days paid vacation, 5-6 paid sick days, paid major holidays, MTA reimbursement. Other benefits can be negotiated for the right candidate.
