#411 - Live-in or Live-out Nanny Needed on the UES

Loving parents on the Upper East Side of Manhattan seek an experienced, attentive, and caring full-time nanny for their 3 month-old baby daughter. The ideal start date is mid-April.

The family is seeking a candidate who is interested in a long-term position and can be with them for many years to come as they grow their family. 

The ideal schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:30am - 6:30pm, and 7:30am - 5:30pm on Fridays. (54 hours). 

There’s also a possibility for a Monday through Thursday, 7:30am - 7:30pm, schedule. (48 hours).

Flexibility and willingness to stay overnight from time to time is essential.

There are private accommodations (separate from the main living area)  in the home for a live-in nanny. Ideally, a local nanny who lives in Monday through Thursday or stays overnight as needed. 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Actively engaging the child in educational and fun age-appropriate activities.

  • Supporting the achievement of age-appropriate milestones (walking, eating solids and as the child continues to grow, sleep/potty training, learning to read)

  • Bottle feedings and washing and sterilizing bottles.

  • Diaper changes.

  • Maintaining the child’s nap and eating schedules.

  • Child's laundry.

  • Eventual meal preparation for the child.

  • Restocking child-related items and the diaper bag.

  • Walks, reading, indoor and outdoor play.

  • Keeping the home's main spaces and the child’s room clean and tidy.

Both parents work full-time. They seek a team player who can take the lead when they are away and keep them updated with their daughter’s day to day.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant nanny experience and be patient, calm, proactive, caring, honest, organized, and loving. Someone who will be enthusiastic about nurturing the child’s interests and fostering curiosity. 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant nanny experience with infants. 

  • Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

  • Clean background check.

  • 2-3 strong and recent references.

  • CPR certified or willing to get it renewed.

Salary: Approximately $30.00 - 35.00 per hour based on experience and credentials.

Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, paid major holidays, 5 sick days per year, and Metrocard.
