A Nanny Match Jobs

We are seeking 4 Childcare Assistants for 3 Wanderlust Retreats, Wellness and Yoga retreats for mothers and children, including farm-to-table food and Montessori-style learning childcare in the Catskills and Cape Cod. 

The retreats will be held on the following dates:

Coxsackie, Catskills, NY - June 12th-15th & June 26th-29th

Falmouth, Cape Cod, MA - September 14th - 17th 

For each retreat, there will be two groups of children; one group ages 0 to 2 years old, and the other ages 3 to 9 years old. The majority of children attending retreats are toddler-age.

The childcare programs are based on Montessori and Forest school learning designed by the retreat’s Childcare Director. The Director will familiarize the assistants with the program before the retreat. A Lead Guide / Nanny will help guide the childcare Assistants / Nannies with the program.

The retreat takes place outdoors in nature, and Nannies should be comfortable spending time outside. A recommended packing list and dress code information will be shared.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Actively play and engage with the children in your group.

• Guide the children and mamas in arts and crafts or sensory activities outdoors in nature.

• Support groups program by setting up, facilitating, and cleaning up activities.

• Ensure you are using a Montessori and Forest learning approach.

• Support snack and lunchtime.

• Support moms with ad hoc childcare during massage appointments, etc. 

• Be aware of and abide by food allergies or dietary restrictions of children in your group.

• Support nap time instructions and routines.

• Ensure sanitation of equipment each day.

• Interacting and supporting guests' needs.

• Clean up and tidying of spaces.

• Support unloading and loading retreat materials on arrival and departure days.

• Support welcoming and sending off guests.

• Report directly to the Childcare Director and Lead Guide/Nanny.

• Shuttle guests in golf carts.

• Potential errand running if needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of nanny or Montessori daycare experience.

• Clean background check.

• CPR / First Aid certification or willingness to get it renewed.

• Ability to effectively manage a group of children and manage parents’ expectations.

• Warm, loving, non-judgmental, and a passion for supporting early motherhood.

• A love of nature and an appreciation for well-being.

Additionally

• Montessori/Forest learning experience is a plus but not required.
• Preference will be given to candidates who can commit to more than one retreat. Ideally, the same nannies can commit to all three for consistency, but it’s not a requirement.

Pay: $800 per retreat

• Nannies will be provided with accommodations at a hotel nearby.

• Farm-to-table meals will be provided for the nannies.

• A travel reimbursement of up to $80 will be provided.

• If using public transportation, you will be picked up at the closest station.
