New York City is known for its high cost of living, and this is certainly true when it comes to nanny salaries. As one of the most expensive cities in the world, it's no surprise that nanny salaries in NYC are among the highest in the country.
In 2023, the average nanny salary in NYC is estimated at around $60,000-$80,000 + per year, depending on how many hours are worked per week, with an average hourly rate of around $32.00 gross per hour with 82-93% of those surveyed being paid legally on a W-2.
