New parents in Midtown East, NYC, are welcoming their first baby in July via surrogate and are seeking an experienced Newborn Care Specialist / Night Nurse for approximately four months, beginning  July 22nd. 

The position will be contracted for 16 weeks, with the possibility of an extension if mutually agreed.

The general schedule is 5-6 nights per week, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am. 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Everything involving the safety, care, and well-being of the child.

• Assistance in creating and maintaining the baby's sleep schedule.

• Bottle feedings. 

• Diaper changes.

• Maintaining overall healthy hygiene of the baby.

• Guiding the parents on best care practices while supporting the parents’ decisions. 

• The baby’s laundry.

• Equipment sterilization.

• Keeping a shared log, documenting the routine and care of the newborn baby.

• Keeping the baby’s room and bathroom clean and tidy. 

• Helping to maintain a clean and sterile environment for the baby. 

• Providing a list of suggestions for the baby’s room and baby-related products.

The ideal candidate will have many years of experience as a Newborn Care Specialist / Night Nurse and will be reliable, punctual, organized, professional, responsive, attentive, nurturing, honest, and will help create a safe, peaceful, loving environment for the baby. 

The family has a calm, elderly cat.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant NCS/ Night Nurse experience.

• Newborn Care Certification.

• Legally permitted to work in the U.S.

• Clean background check. 

• Neat, clean, orderly. 

• Excellent communication skills.

• Excellent references. 

• Trained in Infant CPR and First Aid.

• Fully Vaccinated (Tdap, Flu, MMR)

• Ability to commute to and from work and live within a reasonable distance.

Compensation: $40.00 - 50.00 an hour gross, depending on experience.
